Agreed this is significantly a better mindset. For sample the all female ghostbusters should’ve been like a different line of ghostbusters not a full replacement for the “original” ghostbusters as female versions

They’re both Spider-Man, they have different personalities, and they’re both cool in different ways.

That's the right way to execute new concepts. Not ruining what came before to cheaply cash in, but building upon it with new characters.
