Theres actually an issue about this. The people in charge of selling permits to allow you to climb the mountain are not paying attention to how many they are selling around a specific time frame.
This is bad because the mountain becomes overcrowded and people, as pictured above, have to wait an insanely long time to reach the summit because they have to take turns due to lack of room. Thia is horrible because, at those temperatures, people have been freezing to death at the summit.
If people went in smaller groups, they wouldnt have to face those drastic temperatures for that long, meaning more would survive the trip.
