I had a Border Collie who would spend all his time figuring out ways to get out of our yard so he could take himself to the ice cream parlor and wait for treats. The first time he did it, he was gone for almost 3 hours- we never thought to check the ice cream joint for the dog. One of the girls working said he would wander around letting the customers pet him and inevitably one would buy him a cone. He would then disappear until the next rush of people who hadn’t seen him just eat a cone, and would do it all over again.
i was just about to say that, like even if your'e dog doesn't escape. People need to be able to contact you and make sure that the dog has had its shots, and bc of the no collar thing it could be taken to a shelter and you wouldn't know. (Unless it had a chip I guess)
