Landlord are many time just managers, not the owners of the property. So probably no on both of those

That depends. Landlord is the title for someone who manages the property, but this often is the person who owns the property. So depending on where you live, maybe.

My mum is actually in a relationship with her landlord. But that's simply because he bought the flat she lived in when it was for sale (they would've kicked her out and she loves this apartment)
