Go get literally any job. I can almost guarantee you'll be better at it than a significant minority of the people currently working that job. Incompetence is the rule.
There was a scientist a while back who wasn't convinced that stomach ulcers were caused by stress. The entire medical community said they were. He thought they were the result of bacteria in the stomach. So, he swallowed some, got sick, and then cured himself. Now we know stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria. Sometimes the scientists don't know a damn thing, but boy they've got all those degrees so they're sure they're right, and so are lemmings like you.
Well, when every two years they give predictions that never come to pass, or they simply move the goalposts, it makes you wonder who benefits. Go ahead, look who has made fortunes and consolidated power.

You're not dumb enough to really believe that, Mr. Famoussolini.
[x] willful misrepresentation of what science is
[x] contempt of science and knowledge that contradicts your agenda
[x] fueling conspiracy theories about who is profiting from science
I'll tell you what science is never: Settled.
I'm not the one defunding or burying contradictory information.
It's no conspiracy theory, it's just dirty business. No different from selling snake oil.
I never said anything was settled, sod off with your constant straw man bullshit. And another check on my "You're pretty much a fascist' bingo card:
[x] insinuating how science is but a dirty business with obscure powers "burying" information
Not science, just the "Climate change is going to kill us all and anyone who dares question this is a science-denier who should be defunded, re-educated, and silenced" crowd (seems much closer to fascism if anyone actually gives a damn about what fascism is).
Nothing involving trillions of dollars or attempts at national and international legislation is clean.

So you're not talking about science at all. Glad you made that clear. Still you're purposely mixing up what science is about and your paranoid ideas of how people want to screw you out of your god given rights.
Do I need to mention "[x] check"?
Science is change and discovery. Dissent and discussion is it's very being. Writing off opposition as anti-intellectual or fascist is not that. Declaring the science as settled or blaming the CO2 emissions of my animals when CO2 has never in Earth's history correlated with global temperatures, much less caused them, is nothing short of disingenuous. Using it as an excuse to take my money, my property, and my choices away with the power of the state is just more bullshit on the cake.
And yeah, it really doesn't help that the alarmists tend to be the same people who want to take my rights away.

You're still mixing up science and politics. That really doesn't help respecting your take on the matter.
I'm not the one mixing science and politics, they were well intertwined a long time before any of us were born. Well intertwined even before politicians with no scientific background were using these issues as an excuse to legislate themselves into greater power. Europeans especially should be wary of science backed by the state, and what they're using it to justify.
Those in power have used a lot of things to accumulate and maintain power. Legitimately good things, science, religion, philosophy, infrastructure, have all been twisted to control, suppress, fool, and take from the people.
Whether it's Francis persecuting heresy, Mohammed declaring Jihad, a King declaring a passing comet to be a sign of his righteousness, Aztec lords tainting the water of the undesirables, or some scientists in Europe definitively proving that one certain kind of white ought to be running things.
One thing they all had in common? They did not tolerate dissent or questioning. Knowing this, I don't trust those who follow the pattern.

You know what entity invites dissent and questioning? Science does. Not in your dime novel narrative though. Another check for trying to discredit science. Those scientists you mentioned were proven wrong by scientists. Based on science.
Then what's been happening to those who dissent? Ridicule. Defunding. Undue scrutiny. Protest and political opposition. And what's been happening to the scientists who regurgitate the same shit over and over again? Acclaim. Grants and donations. Instant validation. Political praise.
I think I'll give you a check for statism.
Another for disregarding history.
One for ridiculing earnest opposition.
And yet another because I feel like it. That's how this works, right?
"Then what's been happening to those who dissent? Ridicule. Defunding. Undue scrutiny." Again, you're not talking about science and scientists, you're talking about what non-.scientists make out of what the actual scientists say. And even there you're exaggerating and misrepresenting what really happens. Because what really happens to science mavericks "who regurgitate the same shit over and over again? Acclaim. Grants and donations. Instant validation. Political praise.". By the right-wing, and Fox and other lying cesspool media paying them shitloads of money for posing as representing an "alternative opinion" within science when really just the peer review decides their science is crap or not even science. So the consequences within the scientific community are basically "dude, get your science in shape or shut up". Real science is real scientist asking other real scientists to try and prove them wrong. For people like you, someone like Sebastian Gorka is probably a scientist...
