I don't have any problem with her being concerned about the environment as we all should be damn concerned about it, the planet is literally on fire here.
But her speech sucks.
I've only seen her for a few times cause the news keep putting her on but every single time, she's overemotional (not in the good way), yelling (like your usual 16 year-old) and showing attitude (or whatever you call those glaring eyes of hers)
No wonder Trump doesn't listen to her, no wonder none of the politics listen to her.
If I were a world leader being invited to an international conference, I expect a calm, clear, strong speaker that give some new informations.
.
If you throw that child (yes, I called her a child cause that's what she is) in the street or city to inspire people to recycle, to plant trees and pick up trash, that works.
If you throw her at the UNICEF, that's just politic and PR.
Fun game. If you take out the parts about environmental concern and change her name to the current American presidents... this is still weirdly accurate.
@rosalinas Look at the bigger picture: a child is so outraged at the inaction by adult politicians and the ineffectiveness of the "calm, clear, strong" speakers, she's speaking as a "normal" 16 year old outraged young adult would. Generally speaking, more people support recognizable rhetoric and emotions than overly sophisticated PC talk.

I’m not going to get into the thousand reasons that statement is asinine. Comparing this kid and her ability to make policy to the Epstein case... a better question might be... Lets ask why the politicians and captains of industry that were associates, friends, or customers of Epstein’s should be trusted to make policy. Here’s a group of people who associated with a guy who was a major child sex trafficker. They either knew and ignored it, or didn’t know and.. that might even be worse. For a leader of the world to be so dense and disconnected that they wouldn’t realize this guy was trafficking kids? Neither scenario instills confidence in ones instinct, perception, decision making, morality, integrity, or general competence.
So perhaps- there are better questions to ask wether we want to argue the validity of this line or logic or not. I mean hell- the kid isn’t old enough to vote, own a gun, have a drivers license (most places,) or even sign a contract. So of ALL the things you could have picked to try and undermine her point based on inexperience or age- you picked.... the fact she isn’t a child sex worker? Ok. Weird flex.
