This is pretty consistent. Wanting the state to force people to pay for your shit is entirely different from asking people for help. That's actually what some of us want. Voluntary charity in lieu of coercion.

Do you pave your own roads? Do you have a private fire department? Why should I pay soldiers, my house has never been threatened!
They shouldn't. As soon as a company has a government contract, they know they can rape the taxpayer with impunity. Everyone in the US has seen a project run months overtime and millions over budget

Damn my dude, why is it such a terrible thing to have tax dollars go to people in need? I know everyone’s entitled to their opinion and this is a free country and all that, but bro you gotta think about the bigger picture sometimes instead of concerning yourself precisely over “government taxes bad bc it’s not helping me specifically”
Government: "If you don't pay for this illegal alien's entire life, we'll take away your liberty and if you resist we'll kill you, too"
Me: "I'm definitely voting for whoever the fuck wants to cut you down to size, even if he's orange"
Ideally we'll be someplace in the middle, but as authoritarians are pulling us towards the latter, I must remain steadfast as close to the former as is practical.
Tell me this, sassy, why is it such a terrible thing to ask people to take control of and responsibility for their own lives?

You spout these bumper sticker sloganslike they were facts. You've got a lot to learn kid. You are too young to be this much of a cynical nihilist.
I believe in individual rights, in liberty, and in my fellow man's WILLINGNESS to come together and VOLUNTARILY contribute to a greater cause. Or at least, a general unwillingness to carry out acts of evil against the undeserving.
Do not put words in my mouth. All I ask, is that society acknowledges that every law, every tax, every decree, comes with chains and death for those who disobey. Because I value liberty and life so highly, I'd have it so that only things that are in and of themselves harmful to others and their rights be outlawed.
Simply ask yourself before passing a law or imposing a penalty: Is this worth killing people or taking away their liberty?
Murder? Yes.
Weed? No.
It ain't complicated, don't make this something it isn't.
Humans are inherently selfish. There is a reason the Articles of Confederation failed. If you make taxes voluntary, nobody is going to pay them. That was one of the first lessons we learned as a nation.
I did say that ideally we'll land in the middle, erring on the side of liberty.
I will gladly help those in my community, few would even object to common defense.
The Articles didn't fail nor were taxes voluntary, Shays' Rebellion (the most cited argument for the "failure") was caused by excessive taxation being demanded in currency that had barely been minted from men who have never needed it before. However, the constitution was undeniably a huge improvement. Now pray tell, where in the constitution is the government given the power to restrict plant use? The power to levy tax directly from income was promised to be a temporary measure to help get through the war; never is there any mention of the state being able to enslave doctors or any tradesman, or any lawful man at all. To restore and preserve liberty the feds must be cut down to constitutional bounds, as things have grown far out of hand. Or is it worth it to kill men over a sugar tax?

@famousone it’s not bad to tell people to take responsibility, but it’s a shitty world where it’s harder for people in certain situations. They need help. If you can help, you should. You only value the liberty that benefits you while turning the blind eye to others who may not be as lucky. It’s called being a good person, and it’s sad it’s such a controversial topic

You can be nihilistic all you want, but nothing’s going to be helped when you only care for your own personal benefits. You pay taxes because you live in this country, you benefit from this country. Thinking you shouldn’t have to pay taxes is selfish and self absorbed.

Not only that, but taxes are on article 16 of the constitution. You’re whining about being taxed and what the government does with said taxes, but you fail to comprehend that taxes now are in the lower side of history. Instead of being mad about being taxed, you should be mad that in the first tine in history, the Rich and over privileged are being taxed at a lower rate than the working classes. THATS what you should be mad about, not that you pay it forward for living on American soil
I'm not saying we shouldn't pay any taxes, I'm saying taxes should only go to things worth imprisoning and killing for.
Common defense? Yes.
An illegal alien's gender reassignment? No.
Roads? Maybe, with scrutiny on who gets the contract.
To discourage sugary drinks? Fuck no.
Helping an acutely disabled father? Yes.
Enabling a felonious fiend's drug habit? No.
Now tell me, where the fuck did I say anything you're refuting? I never said no taxes. I never said to abolish the state. For fuck's sake, I SERVE THE STATE. I am not stupid, nor am I an anarchist. Address what I'm actually saying, or keep your cock receptacle shut.

Uh really? Someone raises a good point and you use big boy words to call them a cocksucker? Dude no one gets to choose where their taxes go, why are you arguing against your taxes going to help the needy?
Good point? Where?
When insulted I will respond in kind.
As a matter of fact, voting us how we decide where our tax dollars go.
I don't mind helping the needy, I've already explained where I'm coming from.
Me: "Ok"
Government: "If you don't pay for this illegal alien's entire life, we'll take away your liberty and if you resist we'll kill you, too"
Me: "I'm definitely voting for whoever the fuck wants to cut you down to size, even if he's orange"
See the difference?
Tell me this, sassy, why is it such a terrible thing to ask people to take control of and responsibility for their own lives?
