"Rana cascadae" - winter? snow problem. Found throughout the Pacific Northwest (and named for the Cascade Mountain Range), these frogs feature anywhere from 3 to 50 dark patches on their back (making them quite easy to spot) It's believed the peptides they secrete may have medicinal applications. Despite their wide distribution, their populations seem to be declining, and they are classified as Near Threatened. (Their favorite songs to play on Spotify are those by Cascada. They don't know why, but without you it's hard to survive. It's as if they need a miracle)
