See sometimes when playing the same character for to long you become type casted as that type of character or as that character. Sometimes that's a good thing but only if you have the ability to show you are more than your part you are known for.
Like Robin Williams was known for comedy due to him being Mork. But he proved he could play parts with depth.
The other side of the coin of type casting is no one wants you BUT for that type of character and well you can only play that for so long till you want to pull a superman.
And well he looks about 3/4 the way to a superman.
(For those who don't know the original actor to play Superman killed himself due to getting no work and going into debt all because everyone only saw him as superman.)
