It’s poorly phrased but the message here is pretty straight forward. When you have sex there is a chance of pregnancy. When there is a pregnancy the woman is stuck with a baby (if she cannot or will not get an abortion,) and wether she has support depends on if the man has the character to care for the child, and wether he has the means to. Making sure that you only have sex with people who you judge to have the character and means to care for a child with you while upholding the standard of living you want is smart. This is good advice for men too. Whoever you have sex with may be a part of your life for the rest of it- so make sure that’s a good thing and not a bad thing if the unexpected should occur.

*and you can be a GREAT dad (or mom,) and not have any money. But if you had the choice- would you rather be a great parent with an easier job who can give their child all the advantages and have the financial freedom to not worry as much and just enjoy life, or a great dad who can’t do those things and has to work 10x as hard for what they are able to give the child? So if you haven’t made the baby yet- make sure your sexual partners are people you either trust to coparent or you can 200% trust to agree on what should happen if there is a pregnancy. The entire point here is that hot heads make stupid choices- use your brain and be aware there are risks and consequences to your actions, and act like it.
