I'm an intellectual, and I hardly loath myself.
Nothing is fair about stealing from another to cover your own frivolities. For crying out loud, it's government intervention that drove up the cost of college in the first place. Even if one disregards that indisputable fact, there are many alternatives to college, and every able-bodied law-abiding man and woman in the country has an opportunity to earn Uncle Sam's help, rather than reaching into other's pockets just because Euroes think it's cool.

No, you're not, and yes, you do. You lost me after the first sentence, but it's always the same anyway.
How old are you? Facts constantly change, by the way and the army is not a solution for all. If you are able bodied and if you are smart enough and if you can get through the training then you are in. Then you have to realize that only a short term education is viable due to the fact that it is one year of service for one year of school. Anyone want to become a doctor off of your countries dollar? How about if it takes 20 years before you can leave school? Going to school under the army is also a very socialist thing. If you don't see why that's an issue then call Greece.
Ain't nothing socialist about it. You volunteer your time, knowingly and fully aware of the risks and conditions.
FORCING people to join up? That'd be socialist.
If you're going to force your countrymen to pay for your classess, the least you can do is stand between them and the guns.
Alright but when the economy collapses again and you lose your job you better not be expecting any soup lines, housing assistance, Medicaid, etc. and you most certainly should not be expecting me to volunteer my time or money to aid you
Hahahaha Famous. You're such a moron! Hahaha "Leave me out of it", "don't force other people to do things for us." Dude. The military is funded by taxpayers you quack. Everything you've been saying is socialist. The taxpayers pay for the army and then the army spends that money on your education. What did you think the army was sponsored by Nike? Volunteering for the army, by the way? Enlisting. It's a paid job. With benefits. Forcing someone isn't socialism either. I could spend days correcting your little mind. Instead I will enjoy my day.
Taxes aren't socialist. They predate socialism by millennia.
Pay and schooling is simply a benefit of volunteering. It's transactional. Contracted. Negotiated.
And while conscription predates socialism as well, it tends to be socialists that lean towards the kind of totalitarianism that takes out elements such as contracts, negotiation, and volunteering.

@famousone How is it that pretty much everyone sees the problems in what you’re saying except for you? Maybe you’re just in the wrong idk
Sociopath? There's nothing anti-social about preferring people have control over their own body and labor.
Yet you would prefer everyone else be forced to accommodate and pay for your choices.

Sociopath means that you lack empathy my dude. You can’t understand how others feel or think.
Sociopathy is Antisocial Personality Disorder, which has a wide range of symptoms, manifestations, and effects. Words mean things, my dude.
I do understand how people think, I simply have no patience for thieves who would force everyone to give up their labor and liberty just to give uncaring overlords more control than they've stolen already.
Can we put a halt on this trainwreck? He's not going to listen even when he contradicts himself or goes off somewhere the conversation is not. This is pointless.

“Sociopathy: antisocial personality disorder; A mental health disorder characterized by disregard for other people.” You.
- volunteered time and rights to go in harm's way for others
- endured grueling combat training to protect others
- kept up with hellish training tempo for medic certification
- reports early and stays late to check on soldiers
- acts as barracks counselor for guys going through a tough time
- doesn't want to force others to give up labor, money, and liberty to the state
- lol sociopath
The fuck makes you qualified to make that call? No, you just don't accept that people can actually earnestly disagree with you, and because you apparently can't pick apart my argument, you're resorting to ad hominem and exploiting stigma against the mentally ill to try and write me off.
You're about as subtle as an explosion, and easier to read than a map

I’m literally a working therapist trained to spot signs of certain mental behaviors. Maybe you’re just a shitty person? Serving in the military doesn’t make you a good person or mentally sound.
Face it, you don’t want to help people when it doesn’t personally affect you

This obviously will go nowhere as always, so adios until the next time you say something stupid
That actually made me laugh. I know enough about medicine and psychology to say with certainly that you cannot diagnose an uncooperative person over limited text convos, particularly not ones whom you share mutual animosity.
I'm not a good person because I joined, I volunteered my life and liberty because I'm a good person.
Face it, you're a disgrace to your practice who will sooner use a position of faux authority to weaponize stigma against mental illness than attempt to confront an argument you don't like. Maybe you're just a shitty person? Certainly a Hell of a lot more sociopathic than I've ever been.
