One time my sister broke 50 champagne glasses in one go. I remember the room going silent for 20 seconds and me asking "why isn't anyone mad?" After that... no one still went mad. My parents said anyone can make a mistake and she'd been very stressed lately. Which is true, but their answer came partly from the shock, it was so big they couldn't even be mad. The party moved to another room and we spent 30min picking glass shards from the ground.
