That's because, in Australia, it does not seem feasible to have an electric car unless you live in one of the larger cities (Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra for example). I understand that it goes against the main principles of owning a Tesla, but what did you expect from a country that basically only runs off of fossil fuels... Feel free to discuss or correct me as I know I know very little on the subject, but I do live in SA, a state that is considered a front runner in reusable technologies within the country... I mean, I'd love to be able to live in a country that uses mostly electric vehicles, but unless you're gonna stick to the inner city it's just not possible with our current infrastructure.
