Before my grandfather got arthritis he could carve a chain so small you would swear it was made by machine.
He made a chain and locket for his wife my grandmother. The locket was made of rosewood and looked like a heart with their initials intertwined. Inside unfolded to a long row of 8 pictures one picture of each their kids and one of their wedding and nother of a recent photo of them when he gave it to her. Which was their 25th wedding anniversary.
She was buried with it.
He was an artist when it came to his wood work. He could make a chair he only seen once in less than a day.
He truly missed his calling. He spent his life in a steel factory because that paid more. I know if he was alive in our time he would of been on YouTube showing how to make stuff and fix things. Than selling stuff online.
