Actually yeah most days. Yeah it has moments. Like when I was subbing for a preschool class and one little shit kid bit me. He is a little monster. He barely speak English and his parents let the kid run wild at home. He was 5 at the time and still in diapers. So he laughed after he bit me for putting him in time out for pulling his diaper off and throwing it on the floor.
But good days are like the day I got a big hug from this kid who I was a helper for a month. He was in Jr high. He hugged me and said that is for being so nice to many. Apparently he gets into trouble alot and I have this thing about me that always forgives people more than most people do. So the first couple of days he was kind of rude, stand offish, and refused to do what I say. But I stood my ground was kind always to him well past the point others would of insisted they find someone else. He warmed up to me he was kind and wanted to show how smart he was. On my last day he gave me a hug and said thankyou.
I sorta want to experience being a teacher. That kid sounds like he was specially made from hell lol. It would be surprising if he grows up a much better person. Did the diaper have poop in it?
That's so sweet. You may have changed his life in more ways than you know. Thanks for being there for him. A lot of kids go through messed up stuff
The diaper was just peed in.
He recently made it to 1st grade. I know his teacher she says he is still a little monster lol. But atleast he isn't in diapers anymore.
As for the Jr high kid. I still sub for his helper once in a while. He is in 8th grade now. His regular helper says he always asks if I can sub for her when she has to be absent.
So far I have subbed for him 7 times the first time was a month but usually it is for a week or 2. He is a great kid really. Since I have known him he went from a kid who refused to do his work, refused to listen to teachers, had no friends, and hated school, to a kid who loves school, is so smart he makes straight A's, he has friends, and loves and listens to all his teachers.
Kids like him is why I love teaching.
Oh, that's still pretty bad lol
Okay. Hopefully, he slowly evolves into being a better person
That's sweet!
I'm so happy he was able to improve really much.
:)
I became a teacher.
