I've said this once, and I'll say it again. You're parents just don't want you to make the same mistakes they did.
And before someone tries to swoop in and be pedantic about it. No the kid isn't the mistake, the sex before marriage is. They're probably happy to have the kid, but just wished they waited until after they were married to do so.
And also yes, people are allowed to change, just because they did something in their past, doesn't mean they can't be against that thing in the present/future.
My cousin thinks like this. I told her not to act in ways I used too. She is currently dating or engaged to an individual who showers every few days, owns a coat he bought used and has not washed since buying it years ago and dropped out of University. Oh, and they live in her mom's apartment. I wish people wouldn't post things encouraging such ways of thinking.
