Who wants to adopt me?

One of my friends (we'll call her K) adopts all the new kids in my school. She brings new kids to our lunch table and sits with them until they make other friends and leave (around 1 or 2 weeks). It's really adorable because it's like releasing animals back into the wild after taking them in. She won an award for "nicest person in the school" last year. She did this for me when I was new, but I just stayed there, so we're still friends.
