Virgin Australia, the airline, wanted $1.4 billion to help them, considering that Richard Branson is worth $5 billion, owns only 10%, and the other owners have more money and own more, the Australian government said no. Branson made a rant about it, but here's the thing, the airline loses money, it runs in the red, and the owners use that for tax cuts in their home countries. They won't put their own money in it, as they know it's not a good investment.
