Daily Dose of Prehistory Revival 1: Spinosaurus aegyptiacus

Spinosaurus aegyptiacus, meaning "Egyptian Spine Lizard", was genus of spinosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived in what is now North Africa during the Early Cretaceous, around 112 to 93.5 million years ago. While it's main claim to fame used to be that it was the largest theropod (measuring over 50ft long and weighing up to 8 tons), in early 2020 it was discovered that Spinosaurus was, definitively, the first semiaquatic dinosaur known to science. Like mosasaurs, its tail was a flattened paddle that helped propel it through the water along with the help of its webbed hind feet. The sail on its back, made from lengthened neural spines, was likely used to make it larger to more ocean-going contemporaries like pliosaurs, thermoregulation, and even communication much like modern sailfish.
