Beelzebufo ampinga, a portmanteau of Beelzebub (The Lord of the Flies) and bufo which is Latin for Toad (ampinga is Malagasy for Shield so it's full name is Shielded Devil Frog), was a gigantic species of extinct frog native to Madagascar during the Cretaceous period about 70 million years ago. They were very large, measuring anywhere from 9.1 inches (about the size of a modern African Bullfrog) to 16.7 inches long and had a covering of osteoderms in its head much like a crocodile. It also may have had horns much like horned frogs though it's only distantly related to them. Because of its massive mouth, it likely preyed on pretty big prey, up to and including juvenile dinosaurs which it killed with a pretty impressive bite force of between 500 and 2200 Newton's.
