While it is not something I partake in- it is always fun when visitors from out of state come and want to go to dispensaries- especially when you take them to the “boutique” style ones. Watching someone have a specialist go over their preferences in highs and such, recommend mango finder infused weed caviar or salted truffle caramel and such... funny.

There was an old church near my old house that had been converted to a dispensary. At this time weed had been made legal, but the tax led and such were not in place so you couldn’t legally sell it. So this old church- you’d go, you’d “tithe” and they’d give you “communion” and the whole thing was based upon some sort of commune of the leaf. It was pretty funny. The SO took her forends from back in her home there when they came out and they were just... blown away.

The apps and billboards are neat too. Having someone say they want to find some weed while on vacation- and telling them to just download the app and have it delivered while eating appetizers before dinner. lol. It is pretty surreal. I still remember the first time on my way to work I saw a freeway billboard. It was already something else 10-15 years or so back seeing advertisements for “hemp cons” and such out in the open and on billboards. Back then it wasn’t legal yet- and you wondered how people could be so blatant. The “hookahs” and “sculptures” smoke shops used to sell (bongs. They were bongs) were already flaunting the law enough. Man. Times change.
