Frogs in Fiction #33 - Grungs (Dungeons and Dragons)

I have a Grung backup character. His name is Pasht the Frog Lord and he talks like a tiny Jason Statham.

A race inhabiting the Dungeons and Dragons alternate world of the Forgotten Realms, these diminutive frog-like humanoids may look cute, however they are anything but. Their alignment is Lawful Evil and their society reflects that. It is organized in color-based castes, with green grungs being the lowest, followed by blue, purple, red, orange and gold at the very top. They also have no qualms about enslaving other races and poisoning said races' food to keep them lethargic and complacent. (Perhaps the grungs are meant to be a form of commentary, what with the color-based social structure, the enslaving of other races, and the feeding them of poison to keep them down. But maybe I'm just reading too deep into it. After all, they're just fantasy creatures, and things like that couldn't happen in real life... anymore...)
