Thanks, I hate it

I had that feeling yesterday when a car almost hit me. It was completely my fault and I walked away thinking that maybe I had had another chance granted by a superhuman being or I had been saved by a time traveller who appeared inside the car and said "brake". Or maybe the guy just had better reflexes than I have and his car works well.
