Appreciated and about time someone did this. I do not see it as an “absolute win” however, at least not with more information and study results. Chiefly because this may illustrate the principal of people trying to do good, doing something that SEEMS intuitively good- but causing harm. What my concern is, is that with all the existing conventional plastic rings in the environment, and with the continuation of production of such rings, that this could condition many animals to believe or rely in ALL rings as good since they may well not he able to tell the difference- or at least not util it is too late.

So I’d like to see some sort of study on the impact of this, since we can’t really distribute pamphlets to animals. I mean, if OTC pain reliever, rat poison, and candy all looked the same and came in the same package, and were on the same shelf together all mixed up- would you be able to tell just by your senses? So I like the idea and the progress- curious about real world data on the impact.
