Excuse the first bit/last bit if it offends (re: black-face) but it was the 80's, and Bobby McFerrin was top of the charts when he did that. Funny enough at the time that I remember it clearly 30 odd years later :)

People with a great sense of humour, who find themselves in the role of local TV weathermen, are in a perfect position to exploit their gifts-a built-in audience with the freedom to colour outside the edges, a freedom that the news presenters don't enjoy. Dave Letterman and Pat Sajak are probably the most successful former weathermen, but I remember more than one of our local ones who were kind of a draw because of their shenanigans.
