Well yes, theoretically. But just because you are going to die someday, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try to mitigate the chances of that day being today or soon. What’s more, barring random chance we do have some degree of choice in how we die- so perhaps many people would choose another cause of death given the opportunity. On a long enough timeline the earth is destroyed- but should you throw you garbage in the streets? Why would murder even be a crime if we went by the logic that a person was already destined to die anyway, and one way was as good as any other?

If one wishes to no longer live, there are plenty of ways to speed up ones passing. If one doesn’t care if one lives or not, one has nothing to live for. One can accept their mortality and understand that death is an inevitable part of life, without being in undue rush or taking undue risk to hasten that timeline along.
