We decide the point of everything we do in life. If your point in doing something is to never get cheated on or have your heart broken- it’s not pointless- just futile. You can’t stop these things. The wealthiest most charismatic and fit people in the world- like celebrities and athletes- they STILL get turned down. They STILL get cheated on. And then... some people never get cheated on. But trying to live your best self for others is an empty pursuit. You’ll never be “perfect” to everyone on earth. The point is to seek your idea of who you want to be. If you want to be 300lbs and likely unhealthy, and bitter and alone because you were hurt and can’t move past it or find ways to cope- that’s your call. If you lift, lift to make yourself the you that you want to be- same as if you study or most anything else.
