this was amazing, people need to give teachers more credit, sure there will always be bad ones, but there will also be wonderful life changing teachers that make the world a better place

I'm suffering through university to be a teacher, and this was so encouraging to read (:

Doctors and teachers. IMO the two most important jobs in society. It's so sad how one of them is so stripped of credit though, while Hollywood stars and singers are so revered even though they don't make a fraction of the impact teachers make.

The best teachers make you think. It's hard, thinking, people don't want to do it. Memorization is relatively easy (and boring) in comparison. The best teachers I had, the ones I remember still with fondness, made me think. Even if I didn't like it.
