Sorry, I have bills to pay and mouths to feed. I ain't gonna be paralyzed in fear for another year in the face of a bug that I'm 99.98 gonna shake off in a week.
Up here in Canada, I watched a video of a journalist (Kevin J Johnston) as he walked into an Ontario hospital that Bonnie Crombie declared overrun only to prove the exact opposite was true. There were literally no patients waiting anywhere. So, when the hospitals are empty and politicians are parking ambulances out front to make it seem busy, and nearly everyone is going to survive this virus, I'm not going to lock myself inside either.
Nevermind how many states down here took the opportunity to kill off the elderly, and I hate to think that the hysteria was meant to wreck the greatest economy America has seen in decades, but I lost my very good job less than a year after leaving the army, because too many links in the supply chain were broken by the pandemic response, and the governor's goons were relentless in looking for excuses to write us up for some covid violation or other, so yeah. It ain't a pretty picture.
And now tens of thousands of jobs were killed by Biden with the stroke of a pen and we're looking at another year of bullshit, while the president offers trillions to other nations.
Meanwhile, those in power are trying to kick me and mine from the public discussion for voting wrong.
This is almost enough to make a man feel desperate.
COVID violations... You're trying to live your life, doing normal things every human being does and needs, and they write you up for violating laws that violate life. I shake my head at how corrupt this has gotten. The restrictions are killing more people than the virus. What sickens me is that they see it, know it, and PROMOTE it.
I read an article recently that quoted the founder of Twitter, who said booting Trump off it's site was just the beginning. So much for freedom of speech when all the big media platforms are liberalising their servers and killing the independent competition that's trying to provide others with a voice. One news outlet admitted that they only covered Trump's farewell "because we have to." I'm using the Telegram app right now to follow people on their channels there, because everywhere else is putting "fake news" tags on anything that isn't leftist.
Hang in there, man. There's a lot more people on your side than they're letting us see.
You surely have evidence on the "restrictions are killing more people than the virus"-thing. And I mean real evidence, not what a russian bot has posted on Telegram.
And free speech hasn't been violated. A private company not letting a celebrity spreading unproven accusations and lies on their platform is like Walmart kicking you out for not wearing a mask.
Iran, Hamas, and countless people who actually called for violence (Like Harris, Maxine, AOC, and company) are kept and promoted, only to unperson Trump after he called for peace, and anyone who dares to speak against the Dem party line in America, in a coordinated effort to both ban us from speaking on their networks, and destroying any other social media we could go to instead.
Maybe it ain't just the government, but it sure as fuck feels like a union of corporations and the Democrat state.
@f__kyeahhamburg Depression, abuse at home, unemployment, loneliness...these are just some of the things that have been steeply on the rise due to the measures the government is taking by locking down the country, and these have all been contributing to the outrageous increase of deaths and suicides. I mean, the physician-assisted suicides in Canada have DOUBLED from 2018-2019 alone! That's insane!
P.S. I only just got Telegram last week, and I've been gleaning information since the summer. Rest assured, there are no Russian bots involved.
I spent a good portion of last year hating life, poisoning myself, and passively trying to die.
I'm climbing out of that hole now, but I know I have a better support network and lighter burden than a lot of others. I feel that I don't have any right to hate life or feel bad, but the feds actively shutting down everything, apparently for another year, just to wrest more money and power for themselves, isn't helping anybody like me or worse off.
@f__kyeahhamburg Here's interesting news coverage from an independent outlet that covers more about the restrictions. Around 29:30 things get really interesting about the masks and social distancing, particularly what Dr. Malthouse says about the CIA.
