I think I remember... The mexican one happened during (or right after) the mexican revolution. Leaving mexico in a vulnerable position and the states taking advantage of it

Mexico was just vulnerable period. Texans revolting against the Mexican army was a convenient excuse for the US to step in. I don't remember who said it, or what it was, but paraphrased it was essentially that a strong nation had bullied a weaker one. for what it couldn't hold against them.
