Well, just to add a point, in the anime industry some of the pirate crowd do it since licensing and legal obligations restrict the access of some shows, notably older ones. This results in literally no supply to receive the product, despite demand. You cannot access it through any legal means since the legal means prevent it from being distributed period. And for the few that aren't tied up in that hassle, pricing does play a factor in it. Would you pay 50 to a 100 bucks for a disc that has maybe at most three episodes at standard quality? That then has to make all the way to you from Japan and hope it doesn't get lost or damaged. Piracy is just simply the easiest option to enjoy content that is simply unavailable, or has too much hassle to be bothered with through the "proper" channels.

I would've believed it if Bill Clinton said it, but this was the first long hearty laugh I've had in while, thanks.

Kronk was okay with killing Kuzco, though 1 comments

Kronk faced a moral quandary and ended up in part saving Kuzco's life, on TWO occasions. He consciously debated the right course of action and ultimately did good.

If that were true, then Disney would've come under more flak for kowtowing to an agency that runs a literal concentration camp, a real one, not the detention centers illegal immigrants get held at when border patrol catches them. Nah, they did this because much like the CCP, they only have a n interest in kicking down.

Actually, fuck being afraid of the consequences. Fear of consequences is why Disney sits down on it's knees when the CCP undoes it's belt.

If I legally remove the definition of what a child is I can completely remove child rape and molestation from the world.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be afraid to face consequences, but I despise hypocrisy from entitled censorious overlords who bend over backwards to the kind of people they warn us about. Gina saying this is somehow worse publicity than openly thanking a CCP agency responsible for literal concentration camps? Doing practically the same thing the Nazi's did? And yet we have to respect Disney being oh so brave for this?

I mean, nothing gets a war started like detonating a nuke if COD 4 taught me anything.

Mexico was just vulnerable period. Texans revolting against the Mexican army was a convenient excuse for the US to step in. I don't remember who said it, or what it was, but paraphrased it was essentially that a strong nation had bullied a weaker one. for what it couldn't hold against them.

What, all those green energy policies that shut down reactors without doing anything to address the loss of energy production not working out?

In short, Wall Street Brokers bet they could make money on industries being killed by the ongoing pandemic and government mandates. And with how things have played out, they are at MASSIVE losses in the billions of dollars, since if they want to make good on their promises and deals, they HAVE to buy the stocks at their increased price if anyone is willing to sell them. They've engaged in some shady manipulation (ie Market Manipulation, a big no-no) in an attempt to stop their losses or reduce them.

Gamestop was predicted to go under so Wall Street decide to do something called "shorting" the stock. They borrow it from someone else and sell it and plan on the stock being sold back to them at an even lower price so they make a profit and hand the stock back to whoever they borrowed it from after making their money. Note they HAVE to give back the stock at the appointed time. Which is today, January 29th at time of posting. Thing is, R/Wallstreetbets bought out as much stock in companies like Gamestop, AMC, and Nokia, stocks that hedge funds bet heavily on making massive returns. Now they're held by Redditors who even if they refuse to sell, can make massive bank by selling a stock that cost say $20 for 6, 7, 8 times the price since the brokers HAVE to hand back the stock they sold but do not own back to the owners.

There was a point when Fauci said you did not need a mask, mainly so people wouldn't panic buy the stock that hospitals wanted.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lost more than their extra luxuries. When you are absolutely convinced you can't lose, you lose a hell of lot more when you do.

Difference is, Mr. Rogers still conducted himself in a civil manner. He didn't go around busting faces with knuckles and bricks, screaming and hollering about how unfair is. He had the option, but he chose the solution that solved his problem without violence while it was available to him. I highly doubt Mr. Rogers would condone or endorse physical violence on any level.

Now, hear me out, but what if we could take back our vote and unelect our representatives? Now, yeah, it's probably a bad idea in practice, but when has that ever stopped anyone who wanted to feel good about the decisions they make? President does something you don't like? Retract your vote with other like minded community members and put it towards someone who will learn from watching their peer being pulled down from his position. This of course would affect all elected officials, representatives, senators, and presidents. Once unelected, such officials would be barred from holding any position, associating, or speaking with any of federal, state, local, and municipal governments in any official capacity until four years time has passed. This policy would also place power back into the hand of the people, where it should be, and should have never left. Thanks for coming to my TedX talk.
