It's true though. Until the invention of the deodorant in 1910 people just smelled like people and no one cared. Later on deodorants, razors, makeup and other things were advertised to women in the form that they stank, had unwanted body hair och looked ugly and no man would ever want them unless they bought this product. It's a social construct created to make money much like the whole diamond wedding ring.
