Hitler in 1945: What, how is this possible?

Favorable diplomatic relations between the regimes started in 1935 with several trade deals. Germany wanted weapons and USSR wanted to pay off its debts over raw materials. Granted the regimes still hated eachother but it helped both regimes in the short term.
