Well, these big companies say that the colour cartridge is also used in black and white printing to produce “much richer” shade of black

And while it is technically true that adding a little blue to black or white makes it appear a "better" version if each, if the printer refuses to print without it, it's just asshole design.

I didn't know the blue to black thing ,thanks. But ya just let us print damnit
