Nobody said it was a crime its just annoying when the comments on a post degenerate into a bunch of pissing and whining is all. So if we could all just keep our beliefs out of it on here that would be great. :)
If I were to comment on a religious post about how God made everything on Earth just the way it is, idk something like, "No way God didn't make everything. He made things which eventually became the things which exist today.", would you be upset about that? Most likely. Many people are so tied up their beliefs and feel like it is necessary to correct others when they are "wrong". However these same people are not capable of accepting when someone else does the same thing.
BTW it is obvious that evolution has occurred on this planet and will continue to occur. That belief does not mean that God does not exist.. if anything it just means his plan is more intricate than often believed.
This post was more like "this is what science has told us" people responding to this with "God made us" wasn't explaining their beliefs, it was saying that our beliefs were wrong.
There was the Big Bang and evolution but the question is what sparked the Big Bang and what caused evolution. There its is the best mesh of science and religion out there.
Just don't respond when people state their beliefs that are against yours. Everyone has different beliefs why should we tell them if they're right or wrong? Even tho I strongly believe their is a God, I won't bash your opinion, don't bash mines.
Yes, I feel strongly about my religion. But, people tend to do it the wrong way. Ill share my opinion (which is; I believe in God.) if they would like to hear the reasons why than I shall continue but if they don't wanna listen then Ill keep my mouth closed. I don't agree with evolution and I've kindly heard the reasons why people believe but it doesn't make sense to me. But I will not bash other people's opinions or yell and argue over the iternet. I respect everyone's opinion (:
I agree with that in part. I don't think people should bash each other, but I don't think everyone should keep their mouth shut. I think people should keep their mouth shut when they don't have something relevant and understanding to say.
How I feel about God vs Science: Why not both??
Who says God didn't make life and then provide the circumstance for evolution? Evolution is a fact, and you saying that it isn't true doesn't change that. So if you choose to believe in God, then why not believe that he caused evolution?
It doesn't need to be a new religion. Christianity once believed that Earth was god's greatest creation and was therefore the center of the universe. That has been proved false, but that doesn't make the entirety of Christianity false. They say God created the world in six days, but who says it's days on Earth? Maybe it's six days in Heaven. *shrug* So who says that God didn't create man by influencing evolution?
Im not religious or anything but When I was little I always imagined a massive man who would stick like an arm on to one perso the conveyor belt, then the next person!!! Haha
Is it just me or did no one else notice that the first picture in the timeline is what appears to be a monkey? If that's the case then at some point we did evolve from monkeys, just a prehistoric type.
A species (a) more similar to monkeys than to us evolved from the common species. That species (a) then continued to evolve, going through many many transitional species (b->y) before eventually evolving into modern day humans (z) So.. yeah.
I know this will get Downvotes and it probably won't even get seen but if I posted something completely disregarding science and talking about how god made all people would be pissed but when people post something about this we're all expected to be okay with it? I dunno it kinda ticked me off. Sorry, I'm not saying I don't believe in evolution and stuff but this topic bothers me and it doesn't belong on funsubstance, because it gathers too much of a debate and people get heated.
No, please, don't. I don't want to be rude but can we just have this moment where we consider science I'm not saying your opinion doesn't matter but we don't need to bring religion in to this.
Agreed we really can't stand another religious meltdown on a post so please save it for church not a fun site. If I'm anything like anyone else who comes here it's to kill a few minutes and maybe get a laugh to relieve our annoyance with the human race before someone gets hurt. Am I right or wrong?
Although I am a Christian, I believe this post. I think of God as Karma. Frankly, I believe the science aspect more than the religious one. Yeah, the Bible exists, but what if that is from people in the 10s-100s?
Just because you can't do something doesn't mean someone else can't, especially someone supposedly all-powerful like God. I honestly don't normally talk about my beliefs, but I really dislike it when people rant on others beliefs, so in my opinion, that opens you up to me talk on your beliefs as well. Now let me put it this way: how long would it take for you to take a ball of clay and shape it into a round-ish thing? Less than a minute. It's basically the same thing, but on a larger scale, with other things added in later. I believe in science - science is true and I don't believe that can be argued, but I also believe in God.
Also, I'm pretty sure how we measure time would be the last thing he is concerned about considering I'm fairly certain time measurements didn't happen for several thousand years after Adam and Eve. Plus, even if you know what the time is for something else, you tend to keep track in your own time first.
I think its so funny rednex is one of the most hateful people on FS and he/she is talking about God/Christ and acting like he has some power to pray for us. pray for your damn self rednex....star with praying fpr forgiveness for your hateful/judgemental ways. LMAO THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!!!!

God?
Not sure if you think that God made himself.
