Then a few generations later the descendents of some of the Muj groups we supported are helping us to kill the groups that went and threw their lot in with a freedom fighter turned terrorist commander who's name I hope history forgets.

Would that freedom fighter happen to be a former CIA contact who used to supply the previously mentioned weapons in the fight against the Soviets?

Actually no, he was a member of the Afghan Arabs, while the CIA was only assisting local Muj fighters. While the AA's did fight alongside some of the Muj, commander fuck-face did not directly benefit from US aid.
