Except he never intended to. Marx just analysed the economic interaction between the social classes, how value is extracted through work and the future effects of increased automation.

And somehow he managed to be wrong about all of the ways things should change and where value actually comes from, all the while inspiring megalomaniacs who would go on to sow more killing, destruction, and starvation than anything to come before.
