Real feminism strives for equality of both sexes, not female superiority. Also, Barbie's unrealistic figure has had a greater effect on young girls' self-esteem than He-Man has. I'm not saying that this male figure isn't problematic; rather that it shouldn't be used as a point against feminism. Toy makers and those who control media images should focus on representing real people with real bodies to promote healthy self-image for all people.
The problem is kids think they have to look like what cartoons or dolls look like. Are you seriously going to say you'd rather look like a Barbie doll than somebody like Jennifer Lawrence?
People always worried about kids wanting to be barbie, etc... but I always wanted to be chowder (the kid from the show not the food though all three are named chowder)
