God's miracle

I could never understand this mind set. Had a friend who wanted to bring me "the good word" in the form of a book. That's not why we're not friends, we just drifted apart. Anyway, it was a story about a family where the dad would go cross country preaching with tents, dragging his family's with him. Long story short wife died from pneumonia is "obvious sign" that he must preach more, daughters and sons (except one) disown him because they're sick of his shit. Moral of the story is supposedly that the one son will go to heaven and the others are "fallen". Not moral of the story is apparently pneumonia can be treated with antibiotics and let your kids be kids or they'll get sick of you.
