Many are familiar with this cynical cephalopod, for indeed to know Squidward is to know thyself. More than a few can relate to the feeling of being stuck in a life that they loathe and the idea that their talents go unappreciated. Of course, in Squiward's case, the lack of recognition is rather justified. That doesn't stop his bouts of self-pity and his pessimistic outlook. Even so, he does get some moments of triumph, like when the marching band he puts together manages to wow his much better off rival, Squilliam Fancyson.
Still, his existence is unenviable if very relatable for a lot of people. Nobody wants to be a Squidward but they are Squidward, and you're Squidward, and he's Squidward, and I'm Squidward. Are there anymore Squidwards that I should know about?
