Pretty much exactly. I mean- monopoly was originally even more “unfun” and grueling- the game was designed to teach people a first hand moral lesson of how unfair a system of capitalism where you have monopolies and rich people who hold all the properties and wealth with little you can do about it. The game was tweaked by Parker Brothers to be less unbalanced- but classic monopoly has huge game balance issues- we’ve all been in a position likely where someone else has all the best properties and is rich because they got their first or had some luck- and turn after turn we lose more and more money and can’t do much or anything to change that or balance the board. So monopoly is surprisingly realistic if not a touch cynical in representing unethical capitalism.
