Being offended makes you morally correct

It’s literally a show about horrible people. Of course it’s offensive. It always has been, and in its original run I tried to watch several times and never could. People can enjoy what they like, I never, and still do not, see anything appealing about the show besides an occasional gag or two. I just wasn’t interested in watching horrible people being horrible and inane in the context this show was placed. I enjoy “Always Sunny,” another offensive show about horrible people- but I don’t see that show ever glamorizing it normalizing the characters. It’s very clear that they aren’t aspirational and aren’t intended to be relatable by anyone who isn’t a walking mess. Seinfeld always had a little wink and nod that somehow the characters were supposed to be relatable to the viewer if perhaps hyperbolic. It was rooted at least in the idea of what people might want to do or how they may feel internally in a situation. More power to the fans, but I never cared for it.

The show was dry humor that always brought things back together at the end. If I'm not mistaken it wasn't cheesey and hard to watch by being filmed in front of an irritating live audience, personally I cannot stand any TV shows now and it's a great time in history to be able to stream pretty much anything anytime.
