I have a friend who is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The Bible states that no man should consume blood. Blood is connected to life, thus life and blood are both sacred. By putting another man's blood into your own body, you are technically consuming blood, thus disobeying the Bible's command. Not to mention the diseases that can spread and the problems your body can have after a transfusion. This is why Jehovah's Witnesses don't accept blood transfusions.
I'm not a Jehovah witness but it makes me happy too ^.^ As an atheist I think all religions should be tolerated and respected no matter how strange or stupid it may sound. Don't let the people against your religion get you down, ever.
Same guest, I hope the how stupid it may sound part didn't sound offensive, but I've never been good with how I word things (T_T) A better word would be, maybe unusual.
I'm a Jehovah's Witness too, and I remember reading one post where everyone was against us and It was kindof upsetting. This is kindof a breath of fresh air on the Internet...
And I respect you for it. But remember, nobody should push their religion on other people. Even you Mormons. I know that you're supposed to do mission trips and whatnot but if you try to sell me a religion that's not my own, I'll throw Justin Beiber tapes at you.
Jehovah's Witnesses are without a doubt a minority group among religions. But i dont think they get enough credit for the good work that they do. They genuinely care about people and their needs. This world needs more people like them
Yes. As a Jehovah witness myself. I've never met such caring people. I've gone to another country and I've happen to run into a Jehovah witness and they honestly treat me as if I were their family. And I've never even met the person. It's amazing. & I'm glad there are still some people who even don't agree with us can respect what we believe in.
And then you hear of a shit "religion" like Pastafarianism.

See the second paragraph of the wikipedia; it originated with a satirical message. This isn't a religion, it's designed to mock religion by exaggerating the absurdity of it. There is also no basis for it; almost all other religions have some sort of 'proof' of existence such as pretty much everything in the Old Testament of the Bible and (although I haven't read it) I'm pretty sure the Koran has a bunch of stuff that helps prove the existence of a higher being. The FSM has no basis, it's a concept based on a modern creation.
i think they shouldn't get a choice in this situation because doctors have to do their job, but we should still respect their beliefs in non life threatening situations.
