Actually cyclists spent $903 million dollars on retail cycle equipment last year in America alone. Cyclists do get injured, they do get repetitive stress injuries. They often do pay dietitians or trainers or consultants. Cars do not require multi lane roads or freeways any more than cyclists do- it’s just turns out it is consistently easier, safer, more efficient, and less costly to the traveler to have roads. I mean- you do realize they have bike lanes, literal bike highways, most bikes still need bridges to cross gaps- or about as much as cars do, and there have been roads and sidewalks for pedestrians for thousands of years…? As for multi lane freeways- well- it isn’t very practical for most people to ride their bicycle hundreds or thousands of miles for interstate or cross country journeys, and in places where the average commute is often 30 miles or more that is also perhaps a bit troublesome for the occasional casual cyclist, especially one with children, family, etc.
