Certainly- but… the skinny guy doesn’t live at the gym and the big guy can’t always be jogging. Just because you aren’t seeing someone struggle doesn’t mean they aren’t having one. Before the skinny guy ever makes it to the gym he might be trying to do better and struggling to get through anxiety or trauma or low self esteem to even get to the point where you could see him trying- until then he’s still working towards getting up but you don’t see that. So maybe… don’t kick people? I mean- maybe if it’s self defense and the best or only option- but in general maybe we just don’t kick people because we don’t know wether they are trying to get up or not, and regardless of where someone is at we can always be of some help- even as an example or inspiration- to help them pick themselves up.

I try to do so every day for many years and doing so has made my life better too.
