Lol. To each their own. I would say that regardless of being dumb or not, smart people can do dumb things. Supporting people and ideas blindly and completely is generally not a good practice. That is however the distinction I make, I can support a person without enabling them- a theoretically dumb person, I would support them by being there and trying to help and encourage them to learn and grow, or to make smarter choices even if that meant just copying others or following directions. I suppose there are many ways to support someone and to show support. Supporting someone can even be to keep a door open so that when and if they ever are in a place where you can actually reach them and help, that they know you are there.
