i would believe it. Edison was the closest thing to an actual intellectual pirate for his time.

Two years is a pretty long time to still be drawing conspiracies from, especially considering Edison didn't really lose anything as a result of the court proceedings.
Also the idea of Edison being a massive fraudster is generally cope, as far as I can tell.
