While I like free, I’m also old. IF you could get anime, it might cost you hundreds of dollars for a few episodes. Later on as they started to import anime and VHS took over and then dvd, tapes were around $50 (sub titled) and dropped over time, but a short series of 7-13 episodes or so could still often be $100-200 at the time.
With new release Blue Ray and such clocking in at $40-60, maybe more for obscure titles, when I found out about legal anime streaming I jumped right over to sign up, prepared to walk away if the price was too high. To my surprise I could watch hundreds of titles, thousands of episodes, for a cost of a cheap fast food meal. What’s more- it wasn’t just old stuff but a regular stream of new and current titles, along with many of my old favorites. What a time to be alive.
