Uh oh. Sorry for you if you live in or travel to California USA. Needs along with several other classic candies are undergoing review for a potential ban due to chemicals in the candies. If it passes it will be a matter of seeing if other places follow suit or if the candy makers change their recipes to be able to continue selling.
Of course changing the recipe might change the taste or experience of the candies and lose long time fans- but just as easily this could be a case where a change wouldn't even be feasible for a human to notice but tons of people might claim that they can totally tell the difference between the new and classic product. Of course the ban may not go through and your gravel fix may remain unchanged. Let us wait and see.
