Fret not. Other peoples enjoyment of things should generally not have bearing on our own. It can also be nice actually. I love frosting. I dated a woman who hated frosting. Whenever there was cake, I got to eat her frosting. More for me, because she didn’t like it.
As another example- there is an old show I was a fan of that had limited merchandise as merchandising wasn’t as huge back before the “Saturday cartoons” of the 80’s completely blew the lid off. So this show was old and obscure- and I’d often get KILLER deals on merchandise because not a lot of people knew about or liked the show so a lot of the rare original merchandise had sat on shelves for decades.
With streaming and nostalgia and such the show was discovered by a lot more people and now merch I was buying at 50% or less of retail goes for decent money. I paid $50 for a figure that today is over $1000. So when people don’t like things you do- more for you.
